Sunshine, Sand and Sea Lions

Next time you are headed up to Geyserville for a wine tasting. How about reserving a couple of hours to drop down 116 to Jenner and Goat Rock? Goat Rock is about 14 miles west of Guerneville and has lots of free parking, and miles of sandy beaches to stroll and fly your kites. Right now the Sea Lions and their pups are all over the beach especially at the mouth of the Russian River. Nothing like taking the family for a walk on the beach, fresh air, lots of beach combing and watching the Sea Lions as they frolic in and out of the waves and then lay on the beach to soak in the Sun.

Fathers Day

I am sure that Fathers Day evokes lots of different emotions and thoughts from each of us. I thought I would share a couple of thoughts around Fathers day from my point of view. I remember lots of beach walks. My father was not a mechanic or a big sports fan or car enthusiast, he was a father of four and a quiet thoughtful man that loved to walk the beaches and think. He had a great sense of humor. In fact that is one of the best things about him, I remember he was always laughing and enjoyed getting others to laugh too. How about contacting locals Facebook page and mentioning what you like/liked best about your father and a memory?

True Blood, Chocolate and Wine

Ok, you True Blood blogger fans, as we know True Bloods latest season will be released on Netflix this coming week. Time for a deep red glass of Syrah, some dark chocolate and let the show begin. May I present for your Thirst the Ehret Knights Valley Syrah, Eric Ross’s Gout de la Vigne Syrah and the Russian Hill Syrah. Each will go nicely with chocolate, the movie and will be a hit with your friends. I’m having a kick off party and plan on lots of heavy dark reds to drink our fill while Bill, Eric and Sookie manage their way through the blood and lust. How about you? If you stream Netflix do not spoil the ending for us late comers please.
